About
Research you can check
MarketMintr is a stock market research and analysis membership. We publish regular write-ups on the companies we're watching, explain our reasoning in full, and keep a public record of every idea we've published so anyone can check how it turned out.
Why it exists
A lot of stock commentary online is confident, vague and impossible to check. Ideas get posted, the winners get remembered and the losers quietly disappear. We think that's backwards. If a piece of analysis is worth reading, it should be specific enough to be wrong, and its result should be on the record.
What we publish
- Write-ups on individual ideas: the business, the thesis, the numbers, the risks and what would change our mind.
- Market notes on what we're reading and how it affects the ideas already on the record.
- Updates when we change our view or close an idea, with the result recorded the same day.
What we don't do
- We don't give personal financial advice. Everything we publish is the same for every reader and isn't tailored to anyone's situation.
- We don't promise returns. No one honestly can.
- We don't delete ideas that didn't work out. They stay on the track record.
Who writes it
MarketMintr is written by an independent investor who has been sharing market research with a following on Facebook and started MarketMintr to give that work a proper home: full write-ups, an organised archive, and a record anyone can check.
Our rules for ourselves
- Every idea is dated and states the price at publication.
- Every idea goes on the public track record and stays there.
- If we hold a position in something we write about, we say so in the write-up.
- We explain what would prove us wrong before we find out.
